What is
L'Oscar Nascosto?
A GRIPPING LIFE STORY
From theatre to opera, from variety shows to the big screen.
The fascinating and engaging world of entertainment, discovering those who, with the talent of their own hands, created the costumes for cult films such as “Once Upon a Time in the West”, “The Leopard”, “Pinocchio”, “The Taming of the Shrew”, "Ludwig" to name a few.
A story of seamstresses, of women who then became entrepreneurs in the second half of the 20th century, who started from nothing and ended up dressing Oscar winners, working with names like Fellini and Visconti, Sofia Loren, Heather Parisi, Rita Pavone, Raffaella Carrà.
A story that highlights how passion and willpower can take you far!
The aim of the project is to create a book, a film and a travelling exhibition that will lead to the discovery of this incredible story, of the unpublished material and of the gossip from the world of entertainment that made history.
A project that gives space to young talents

We strongly believe in young designers, talents looking for their
place in the world.
Each designer can submit their own sketch. The winner will receive fine fabrics from the Frillici sisters' archives, which they can use to create
their proposed outfit, which will be displayed in the exhibition,
showcasing their skills.

WHO IS THIS PROJECT FOR?
For those who believe that manual and artisanal work is an essential part of culture.
WHO THIS PROJECT IS NOT FOR
For those who consider manual labor only as a technical means and not as a cultural value.
For those curious to discover what lies behind the images of cinema, italian opera and entertainment.
For those who are only interested in the actors, the awards, or the surface of the show.
For those who believe that the process matters as much as the result.
For those who evaluate projects only based on visibility or immediate return.
For those who feel that behind every great image there are invisible hands that deserve recognition.
For those who believe that success matters more than the process and the people.
For those who recognize the value of seamstresses, embroiderers, and costume artisans.
For those who think these figures are marginal or replaceable.
