A project that gives space to young talents

The Call "The Hidden Oscar to discover new talents" aims to offer visibility and an opportunity for expression to young emerging talents in the field of fashion and costume. The goal is twofold: to create an ideal passing of the baton between the work of the Frillici sisters and the contemporary, and to enhance museum spaces as places of contact and interaction, capable of promoting the artistic creative potential of the territory and its inhabitants.

The involvement of young people will take place at a territorial level in conjunction with the stages of the exhibition. Starting from a precious archive of vintage photographs, documents that reproduce the models created by the Frillici sisters, the huge collection of fabrics and sartorial materials inherited at the end of their careers, schools, universities, sector institutes and individual emerging designers who have not yet had the right stage to express themselves

will be involved.

These talents will have the opportunity to participate in a contest in which the sisters' historical fabrics will be made available. On the basis of precise indications relating to the materials and sizes made available, and drawing inspiration from a photograph of a stage costume or an item of clothing made by the Frillici sisters and revisited in a modern key, the participants will develop sketches.

The sketches delivered by the deadline indicated in the announcement will then be evaluated by a special commission. For each territorial area in which the exhibition is exhibited, the commission draws up a ranking of the 10 most interesting projects and selects a winning project. The winner will be provided with the indicated fabrics and a period of time to create the stage costume or the item of clothing/outfit. The final sartorial product and the winning sketch will be exhibited within the traveling exhibition. To further increase the visibility of the project and make the most of the creations, a photo shoot of the garments will be carried out which can be published in the project book or in a special dedicated edition.

Finally, to ensure widespread dissemination and full enhancement of the project, influencers from the fashion and culture sector will be involved in a strategic and targeted manner.
